What are Neuromodulator toxin injections?

They are very similar in the function they accomplish, which is to paralyze muscle movements and thereby reduce fine lines.  Botox is an older established brand that has a lot of recognition in popular culture.  Jeuveau is relatively newer.   More specifics can be discussed during your consultation meeting with Dr. Almazan. 

Number of units needed depends on treatment goals and strength/ size of target muscle(s), along with past treatment history; this would be reviewed with Dr. Almazan before the procedure as part of the consent and treatment planning process.

Generally, it is recommended to not engage in exercise or bend over for 4-5 hours after the procedure; ie you need to keep your head upright.  

A very thin needle is used to inject the Jeuveau, which can lead to a very small pinch sensation.   The needle is significantly smaller than the ones used in traditional blood draws or vaccinations, and should feel less intense than a blood draw or vaccination.
